I can testify and say that most homeless people in my area
are REALLY homeless!!
I see them all the time.
if any are putting on dirty clothes and make up as their hobby
of choice and taking from ppl than giving to those who rightly deserve it
then they are more homeless than people without a home.
they are Spiritually homeless.
most homeless people are addicts.
addicted to drugs.
addicted to poverty.
addicted to loneliness.
addicted to themselves.
wether they have a home and
choose to live for the most part on the street
or not.
some of them are mentally ill and don't know any better.
others are poor in spirit.
many are both.
just the other day,
I ran into a homeless man selling kid stories.
he drew and wrote it himself and asked for a dollar
for each story.
I looked into his eyes and found
that he was a man who lost himself in the "great escape"
this man lived in the past and the moment and
forgot all about his future until it caught up to him.
he has my sympathy.
maybe he did not get the opportunity? maybe life knocked him down too many times?
there is no excuse.
he stayed down. lost hope. never found God.
whatever reason's maybe, if this homeless man
among others cannot take care of themselves then
what gives us the right to take care of them when we can
barely take care of ourselves?
COMPASSION gives us the right.
preserving HUMANITY!
sharing a heart like Jesus Christ.
all great "masters"/teachers of higher consciousness
and spirituality have that in common,
COMPASSION!!!!
a great amount of it.
Christ lived on the street.
Christ was no College Graduate with a great career!
Christ degree is infinite wisdom.
and I see Christ in the face of every homeless/non homeless
person I see!
can you see your brother, sister, father, mother, in the eyes of a homeless person?
depends? what do you define as homeless?
If you ask me? Heartless!
what makes us any different than our fellow brotherhood of homeless
men, women and children on our block and all over the world?
they are human just like we are and possibly might even be better at it
than most people today?
the next time you see a homeless person,
see yourself in his/her shoes and treat that person the way you would like to be treated.
Would it be ok if I used this picture for some graphic design stuff I'm working on? If it's ok could you please email me at michaelharriscreations@gmail.com thanks!
