The Word of God!

"There is much to be examined (and yes even challenged) in man's interpretation of the bible. In doing so we come upon the very question Renee posed. How can we be sure the word's we're reading really are God's words and not man's?"-sophie

because they are both.-eot

you are fascinated by my answer. [do you feel it in your soul?]
the answer pretty much said it all but I will help you understand my interpretation!

Eyes, can you elaborate further on what you mean here? I understand the concept that we are a part of the divine, that "God" speaks through man. Also, I think the intention of the message, the heart of it we could say, is something we could interpret very easily (it would seem) as "God like". But, specifically, because there are so many interpretation of the Bible alone, not to mention other spiritual texts, I'm asking by my question...which can we be sure is the word of God. I think we could say that they are ALL the word of "God" but I think that would also include many things OTHER than the bible. Don't get me wrong, I think there is truth in the Biblical texts. I've just always been interested in the translations, interpretations, etc. of the words and intentions. Not so much the author, but how we take what we read in the book and apply it and WHY it is interpreted that way. It's fascinating stuff.-sophie

there is truth in everything.

you nail it in the head and I admire the direction.

we can take so much of what you said, break it down and expand on it
but I will try my best not to get sloppy and
I will answer your first quote instead and let the rest take care of itself.

"There is much to be examined (and yes even challenged) in man's interpretation of the bible. In doing so we come upon the very question Renee posed. How can we be sure the word's we're reading really are God's words and not man's?"

because they are both.

first I analyze the message [content] and then the author.
but the author is not more important than the message![self-less]

we can never truly "know" an author as a person nor can we know his intention or aspirations
in the process of his writing [in this case the bible] but
In the message we will see [glimpse] first hand at the soul of who is writing it
and where it originates from? [again, self-less]

people of a higher state of consciousness possess this gift.
in fact, we all do but many of us don't realize it yet or have not begun to use it.
[some don't know how or know it exists]

how can we get in touch with this higher being?
[Christ tells us how in the bible]

we are all spiritual people[some don't even realize it]because we are truly spirit.
a higher state of consciousness reflects a higher state of lifestyle.

both go hand in hand.

these are the very same people that come up with great ideas and inventions!
like Mozart, Picasso, Michaelangelo, etc... [through arts and crafts]

the other class would be the people that bring out great wisdom and teachings like Christ, Buddha, etc...
from all the same source, this same "God source"; [as I like to call it]

these are the very same people that wrote the bible. [for the bible is no "other book"]
the interpretations vary but is the message from all these teachers the same?

it is in this same essence that all religions from different walks of life come in!
[Muhammad, Krishna, Buddha, etc...]

these are all manifestations of God on earth.
[depending which religion you associate yourself with]

doesn't Christ say "be perfect as your father is perfect"?

yet he like all great teachers teach us that he is no different than any of us,
that we can all reach the same level of perfection he was if we really want it!

that is the difference between Jim Jones for example and Christ or St. Franciss of Assisi-
Jim Jones used the power of religion for his own [selfish] means and gains
and then look what happened as St. Franciss[the opposite of Jim JONES]
used the message of God to empower people and give them the free will
to do what they wanted to with their own lives.

St. Franciss was self-less.

the message should reflect the author in some way or another.

St. Franciss like God and mother Theresa were servants of good and devoted to God.

we can be there and share the same love and wisdom as them if we wish?

now do you understand my interpretation?

the people that wrote the bible had no idea they were writing the bible,
all they knew was that God told them too and they put their faith and trust
in God to guide them there!

I tell you if religion or bibles were based on "false phony things",
there would be no religion and we would find such things in a circus instead of a church!

this is why in this sense Christ was no ordinary man for it takes alot to be like Christ
but its possible as all the brothers and sisters before us have done by example!

though Christ was God personafied, Christ never drew us to him to make us feel
like he was special and separate, what he focused more on was what made us all
the same instead of what made us all different.

one of many more attributes to admire.

and besides that, he brought us a message! the word of God!

if you don't want to read the bible because your lazy or not interested
or maybe because you don't trust anything or anyone, then I recommend
you get in touch with God first through Christ if possible
or through another teacher/master living or dead
but be careful there are alot of phony people out there
so always pay attention to the message and the author!
and most importantly yourself
your inner self!

there are some things in the bible that are not easy to understand.

that is why it is wise to get into some study or have God teach you the way himself
[after all that is what christ did]

always remember there is your master/teacher and your teachers master/teacher!

always find out who the author is serving!
selfish self[jim jones] or self less self [Jesus Christ]

very wise people have that effect on the masses!

there are some experiences that we cannot put to words!

that is why the mind cannot comprehend the full meaning
or understanding of all that God has to offer.

which also explains why the people don't respect the bible that much
because they don't understand it in the first place!

what does God have to offer?

its beyond words!-eot

wanna know it all!!!!

wanna learn from Christ, [insert name], or God first hand?

you know what to do!

get in touch with God and find out!

Dear Non-Believer

I appreciate your points of views, but I don't appreciate/condone using half wit remarks/insults
that intend to hurt another for their own spiritual beliefs then make a valid point or statement.
why resort to that kind of verbal violence?

at least the Christians/Believers here do not stoop to child play!

Non-believers when will you understand that all of the bible is not to be taken literally
and that the violence mankind participates in is due to MANS false interpretation
of the word of God through ignorance and evil!

Christ was no ordinary man for if so then he would have not done what he did
and nor would he have had as much impact in the world as he has had.

The bible from any religion just as well for all these great spiritual masters and healers
come from a higher state of conscioussness. God Consciousness!
Men devoted to God and Gods teachings through spirituality!

Non- believers when will you understand that
the problem is not religion, the problem is man and his false sense of self[ego]

Non- believers when will you understand that the God I believe in,
[which is the same God Christ spoke about]
is not an angry unforgiving God!

I forgive you.
God forgives you.
forgive yourself!

but if you don't repent for the harm you have caused then
you will harm yourself and continue to harm others to the point of self destruction.

I do not know God well enough to know his anger but if it ever starts raining fire,
you best believe it!

non-believers, when will you understand
that before talking of God like you got him all figured out,
that you actually know him first.

non- believers when will you understand
that all the catastrophes that take place in the world is not God punishing us
and it is not Gods wrath.

we have not seen Gods wrath yet.

when this world turns more like into Sodom and Gomorrah then I dont want to be here
because then I think you will get what you asked for?

non-believers,
when will you understand that comparing yourself to other is futile,
we are all different. [raised differently]
different personalities, etc, etc...

what is true for one is not for the other.

you cant put all believers in a box and blame us for nothing we have been a part of!

men falter, men makes mistakes but to be a more spiritually evolved person
will keep you more in touch with spirit than man thus making the least amount of mistakes possible.

we are all different.

this is where the line of respect need to be drawn because without it
then what is the point to carry on a relationship or a conversation!

can non believers respect another human beings belief in a greater good!
[a self-less one instead of a selfish one]

there are those that believe and those that don't in God.
if your associated with the philosophy board at all even if its
by only reading it then you are a spiritual person but have not
realized it yet, so I suggest that instead of listening to a non believers
explanation of God [i think it would be better if you find someone who knows God
a bit more because they are closer to him and ask them for their interpretation]

religion or spirituality is not a "who is right sport"

all I ask is to open the window to your minds and let God shine in!

God is beyond all that our minds can comprehend,
we don't even understand the blossoming of a rose or what an atom really is?
and yet non believers wanna play God by saying there is not one. absurd.

God has no room to manifest himself in a small mind!
and as all you non-believers have showed me that
you cannot reason with closed minds!

God loves us all equally!

I enjoyed talking with all of you.

the bible is a great source guide,
a companion book that teaches all the basics of living and more.

I consider the bible a reading manual to life!
that you must read before assembling your life and beginning it.

no matter what religion you believe in or face you worship....
[there is only one God and in him perfection]

Nobody is perfect but God.

wanna see God then get in touch with your spirit
because God is spirit.

keep the faith!

I wish for you all[believers/non-believers/those in between] much love and the best!

((peace!))

nobody.

FACELESS

A FACELESS PERSON I MAY BE TO YOU
BUT TO MY LORD THAT IS UNTRUE
HE MADE US ALL FROM THE SAME
I JUST SOMETIMES BECOME WEAK FROM THE PAIN
I HAVE FEELINGS JUST LIKE YOU
I HAVE A HEART TOO
JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE MORE THAN I
DOES NOT MAKE YOU BETTER
FOR GOD MADE US ALL THE SAME
I HAVE MY ACHES AND PAINS
AND SOMETIMES I DRAW MYSELF INSIDE
TO TRY TO STAY SANE WITHIN THIS PAIN
BUT IN THE LONG ROAD I HAVE TREAD
I HAVE LEARNED MY GOD IS ALWAYS THERE
TO HOLD MY HAND SO ALONE I AM NOT
SO ALL OF YOU UPON YOUR PEDESTAL
WILL SOME DAY FALL LIKE FOOLS
FOR GOD KNOWS WHO EACH OF YOU WELL
AND KNOWS YOU KNOW OF BRIMSTONE, FIRE AND HELL

The Lady on the bench.

there is no easy way out.

on the bus or a park bench,
how can we tell if the person next to us is breathing when everyones pulse is dead?

how do we know for sure if we are living when there is no one around but ourselves?

I talk and no one listens, I walk and my destination is always fleeting,

how do we know if we are the living if we wake and are still dreaming?

how do we know if no one cares?

*on camera, in the news I saw an old woman throw herself infront of a moving train*

this old woman could have been saved.

Godbless her soul.

pray for her and for all the people we lost in the war we know as life.

Where do I End?

Einstein was once asked, "what do you think we will be fighting with if there was a World War 3?"
and Einstein said, "I don't know but if there is a World War 4, we will be using sticks and stones"

FUCK!!!!!

I woke up this morning, and I forgot to turn the t.v off,
I went to sleep watching a movie about a saint and woke up
to one of my darkest fears, SODOM & GOMORRAH
from the movie the bible.

I am terrified of such a story.

I wonder if the very same thing that brought us out of heaven
is/was found in sodom and gomorrah....
I wonder what kind of things took place there?

I don't want to know but if it will make me a better person then
I will have to look to find out.

we will have to look within ourselves and eachother and wonder
what great selfishness and evil is man made of to reach a sodom and gomorrah
state without ever being there first hand but being there in mind.

sodom and gommorah is a place I wanna run from and never look back.

in the beginning of the bible, we find out that satan because he challenged God
was thrown out of heaven with the very same ppl that were perversed by him.

I think that it is in that very same place that we found sodom and gommorah
and in that we find the world we live in now.

while we worry about 2012, I will let 2012 take care of itself.
the best thing we can do is live our day like its our last and make the best out it.
[hence the I go to sleep and die everynite and wake up every morning reborn-eot greatest hits]

what I am more concerned with is what is happening now,
collectively as a whole we can change where we are heading if we make the changes now
in our lives we will surely prevent the end of our life and the world.

sooner or later we are all going to die but that is not what life is about,
life is about making the best out of it!

many wise ppl and prophets before us foretold the coming of christ and so
did they the end of the world.[the apocalypse/revelations]

I think it is going to happen but unless we all get on page then we can prevent it
and slow down the process of it altogether.

growing up as a kid we all had fantasies of being a hero.[saving others]
as a grown up now, I worry about saving my own butt.

I have recently noticed that being a spiritual person gives you a superhero quality.

but its not our responsibility to save another
when all we can do is shine and hope that the other opens the window of their mind
so the sunshine can come right in.

we all have the power and potential to do so much as ppl.

one person can do alot and be the difference.

so was as in the case of sodom and gomorrah.

two angels sent by god disguised as men came and took the only good left from that place.

sodom and gommorah soon after that, self destructed and God unleashed his fury.

I don't know God well enough to tell you that he gets angry but
if it ever starts raining fire.....

you best believe it.

just recently so and so years ago I saw on the discovery channel the gravesite of
where sodom and gommorah stood.

they dug up the place and studied it and found that both sodom and gommorah were destroyed
at the same time by fire.

*kisses crucifix neckchain*

I wouldn't be surprised if I see a man building an arc on a rooftop someday,
I might just join him or build one myself.

wether we die tomorrow or the world ends, the end is always around the corner!

we still have a long way to go but like everything in life [time flies]
and someday soon so will everything else!

algo para pensar

Lo mejor que le puedes dar a tu enemigo es, perdon;
a tu adversario, tolerencia;
a tu amigo, tu corazon;
a tu hijo, un buen ejemplo;
a tu padre, veneracion;
a tu madre, orgullo de ti;
a ti mismo, respeto;
a toda la humanida,
caridad!
